The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) views the Holy Scriptures as the sole authority for faith and rule of life.
The Westminster Confession of Faith and the larger and shorter catechisms are written declarations of the doctrinal
and theological views of the PCA. Below is a very short synopsis of the major doctrinal beliefs:

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, without error in the original writings.

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy
Spirit.

We believe that by one man, Adam, sin entered the world; that for salvation of lost sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit through
faith in our Lord Jesus Christ is absolutely essential.

We believe in the deity and virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, that He died upon the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of
the world, that He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, from whence He will return with power and glory.

We believe in the doctrine of justification by faith realizing it is impossible for man, through works, to please God or save himself.

We believe that true faith produces repentance from sin and obedience to God, and that the necessity of repentance is such that none
can expect pardon without it.

We believe in life after death; that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.

We believe in the resurrection of the saved into everlasting life in heaven and the resurrection of the lost or unsaved into eternal
punishment.

We believe that God's Holy Spirit gives Christians the daily strength and wisdom they need to walk according to His will and to grow in
holiness.

We believe that Jesus Christ shall return personally, visibly, and bodily to judge all mankind and to receive His people unto Himself.
